Optical Media International’s new QuickTOPiX premastering software allows users to author their own CD-ROMs on multiplatform architecture including Macintosh, PC, or UNIX. It enables users to get software, database, multimedia applications, network backups, or audio files on compact disk in industry-standard formats. QuickTOPiX allows production of WriteOnce CDs, or higher volume CD-ROMs. QuickTOPiX can store the equivalent of 850 floppy disks or 250,000 pages of text on a single disk that can be read on any CD-ROM drive. It supports the Sony CDW-900, Philips CDD-521, JVC XR-W1001, and Yamaha 301 Series PDS CD Recorders.
